Understanding how we tan.

Tanning happens when your skin is exposed to two different kinds of UV light: UVA and UVB. UVA oxidizes melanin, the pigment that gives your skin its tone, while UVB triggers melanin production. Both types of UV play an important role in the tanning process, and getting the balance right is crucial to a good look.

Skin Care

Exfoliate, Use Tanning Lotion & Moisturize!

Remove dead skin cells before tanning. Tanning lotion helps you tan faster and stay tan longer. It also keeps your skin looking healthy. Moisturize your skin before and after tanning to keep it from drying out. A moisturizer with bronzer can make your tan look darker.

Wear Goggles & Start Slowly

Protect your eyes from UV rays by wearing goggles. When you first start tanning, avoid using the maximum exposure time to prevent getting burned.
